Family Healing Picnic
Welcome Home hosted a community family picnic where justice-impacted parents and youth gathered for a transformative healing circle. Formerly incarcerated individuals shared personal stories of resilience, opening up a space for connection and support. Families spoke candidly about the impacts of community crime, the struggles of single parenting, and the absence of self-help resources focused on family dynamics. The event provided hope and a sense of belonging, reminding families that they are not alone in their journey. This picnic embodied Welcome Home’s commitment to fostering unity, healing, and understanding for all.
Family Day at the Angels Game
Welcome Home had the privilege of treating six families to their first Angels game—a memorable experience for many. For some, it was their first family outing to a game, making the day even more meaningful. At Welcome Home, we recognize that shared experiences, like family meals and outings, build stronger connections. Families not only enjoyed a day of excitement and bonding but also created memories that deepened their sense of unity. This joyful experience highlighted Welcome Home’s mission to strengthen family relationships through positive, shared moments.
Health and Wellness Hikes
Welcome Home is dedicated to health, wellness, and community support through regular hikes that bring together youth, families, and formerly incarcerated individuals. During these hikes, youth gain valuable mentorship, while parents find a safe space to share their experiences. At the end of each hike, participants join a healing circle to share thoughts, emotions, and personal stories, fostering growth and connection. These wellness outings reflect Welcome Home’s belief in the power of nature, community, and shared reflection for lasting transformation.

Welcome Home is dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by the justice system, including those recently released from incarceration and those facing homelessness. Our community consists of people from diverse backgrounds who are navigating the challenges of reintegration, often lacking essential support systems and family connections. We also assist parents seeking to restore and strengthen bonds with their children, and youth affected by the justice system, who may struggle with feelings of isolation, limited resources, or unresolved trauma.
